Silent Hill f Memories Puzzle Guide
Complete Walkthrough for Shu's Museum Collection Challenge
Silent Hill f Memories Puzzle Overview
To escape the Worship Hall in Silent Hill f, you'll need to solve one final puzzle that serves as a scavenger hunt through monster-infested corridors. Unlike traditional puzzles, the Memories challenge requires you to find and collect Shu's missing possessions.
Similar to the Shrine Vault puzzle being more of a hidden-object challenge, Memories is essentially a scavenger hunt. There's no complex trick to placing items on the podiums in Shu's makeshift museum - you simply need to find them and return them to their proper places.
Pro Tip: Hinako automatically places each item in the correct position once you bring them back to the museum, so you don't need to worry about placement order.
The Memories Puzzle Challenge
Environmental Hazards
The items you need are scattered throughout a short maze of corridors beyond the display area. These passageways are heavily infested with monsters, including your first encounter with the extremely metaphorical "spawners."
Puzzle Completion Rewards
Restoring all of Shu's treasured possessions to his display hall unlocks the door at its north end, allowing you to finish this stage of the game.
Important: Finishing this puzzle automatically ends the stage and returns you to Ebisugaoka. If you're missing health/sanity when returning to Shu's display hall, don't waste healing items - you get a free 100% health/sanity restore when transitioning between worlds.
Silent Hill f Story Mode Memories Solution
Missing Item Count
On Story difficulty, only one item is missing from Shu's museum collection.
Brainiac Hero Comic Location
The Brainiac Hero Comic can be found on the second floor of the big octagonal room at the end of the passageway, across from the switch that opens the exit door.
This is essentially a guaranteed find as long as you can survive the fight with the spawner in the area.
Silent Hill f Hard Mode Memories Guide
Increased Difficulty
On Hard difficulty, two items are missing from Shu's display area, increasing the challenge.
First Item: Brainiac Hero Comic
The Comic remains in the same location as in Story Mode - on the second floor of the octagonal room near the exit switch.
Second Item: Drawing Location
The Drawing of a Young Shimizu Hinako can be found at the far end of a short passageway near the start of the maze, directly north from the first gate switch.
While easily mistaken for simple set dressing from a distance, you can grab the Drawing barely 2 minutes after first leaving Shu's display hall.
Lost in the Fog Mode Memories Solution
Maximum Challenge
In Lost in the Fog Mode, three items are missing from Shu's display area, providing the ultimate test of your scavenging skills.
First Two Items
The Comic and Drawing remain in the same locations as in previous difficulty modes.
Third Item: Raygun Location
The final item, the Raygun, is particularly difficult to track down in this mode.
It's hidden in a dark corner of the room where you fight the spawner, specifically in a display rack next to one of the herbal storage cabinets on the first floor.
Strategy: There's no special trick to finding the Raygun besides persistence and thorough exploration of the spawner room. Be sure to check all corners carefully.
